Intelligence-fueled.We are seeking a Senior Product Owner to join our team and lead the operational delivery of a complex product composed of multiple legacy modules. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-urgency environments with frequent releases, ongoing defect triage, and cross-functional coordination. While the team does support some new feature development, the primary focus is on backlog and release management, support prioritization, and ensuring delivery of quality software that meets business and customer needs.
The Senior Product Owner serves as the critical bridge between Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success, working across teams to translate business objectives into actionable plans. You will manage multiple backlogs, oversee continuous delivery cycles, and ensure the team remains aligned with evolving priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Backlog & Release Management
Own and manage multiple backlogs across complex legacy products and modules.
Prioritize stories, defects, technical debt, and support requests in alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers to translate strategy into tactical execution.
Facilitate continuous grooming and refinement sessions to ensure a healthy and actionable backlog.
Partner with Engineering Leads to define sprint and release scope, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks.
Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration
Act as the voice of the customer and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency of priorities and timelines.
Facilitate cross-functional alignment across Engineering, QA, Support, Implementation, and Customer Success.
Regularly communicate status updates, escalate blockers, and demo completed work to stakeholders.
Execution & Delivery
Participate in PI Planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release readiness reviews.
Write clear and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation for Engineering and QA teams.
Ensure work aligns to committed SLAs, customer commitments, and internal KPIs.
Support and guide team members during execution, removing blockers and providing clarity where needed.
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
Leverage agile practices to improve team throughput and quality.
Monitor and evaluate product metrics and team performance to drive process improvements.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
Demonstrated experience managing legacy systems with a high volume of defects and support work.
Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices.
Ability to read and understand technical documentation and basic code.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-release environment.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL or ability to query data.
Experience in the healthcare or health tech industry.
Product Owner or Agile certification (e.g., CSPO, SAFe POPM).
Experience coordinating multi-team delivery efforts or working within a SAFe environment.
